A Child And A Parent (Poem)

I am a daughter,

Sadness appears in my mom’s eyes when you hurt her child,

What would you do if you had a daughter?

Would sadness appear if someone hurt your child?

How would you want someone to treat your daughter?

You tell me hurtful words,

How would you feel if someone said hurtful words to your child?

Imagine someone telling your child your hurtful words,

I am someone else’s child,

My parent doesn’t want anyone telling me hurtful words.

You physically hurt me,

Yes, those wounds will heal,

What would you do if your child was physically hurt like you hurt me?

Should we say, “Who cares they will heal?”

My parent doesn’t want anyone to physically hurt me.

You want power over me,

You love having power over me,

Imagine someone having power over your child like you want over me,

How would you feel if someone wanted power over your child like you want over me?

My parent doesn’t approve of anyone who wants power over me.

The point is, you shouldn’t mistreat me,

I deserve to be treated right and be truly loved,

Would you want your child to be mistreated like me?

Would you want your child to be treated right and be truly loved?

Or would you prefer someone who makes it clear they don’t deserve love like you make it clear to me?
