Bully Child (Poem)

She was cruel as a child,

She left scars,

She was a bully child,

It took me years to heal the scars,

She’s an adult now and no longer a child.

We aren’t children anymore,

She’s now a mother,

She doesn’t appear to be a bully anymore,

She’s now changed because she’s a mother,

I’m not the same anymore.

Yes, it hurt when I was a child,

As an adult I asked, “Why did it hurt?”

I couldn’t understand as a child,

As an adult I understand hurt,

Wisdom came from all the pain I went through as a child.
