They bullied and I wanted to escape,

I couldn’t leave the school,

I couldn’t escape,

The law required that I went to school,

They didn’t care that I wanted to escape.

I met some bullies at church,

A place where we were all supposed to be good,

I wanted to escape the church,

Nobody felt like they were good,

My family demanded that I went to church.

Monday through Friday I faced the bullies,

Saturday I faced the bullies,

Sunday was the only day that I didn’t have to face the bullies,

Somehow I managed to survive facing the bullies,

Yet I’ll always be thankful that I can now choose whether I want to or don’t want to face the bullies.

I choose whether I want to or don’t want to  go to school,

I choose whether I want to or don’t want to go to church,

An adult isn’t required to attend school,

An adult can’t be forced to attend church,

Thus, I won’t ever have to be forced to face bullies at church or school.
