Underweight (Poem)

The doctor said I’m underweight,

She referred me to a nutritionist,

Yet all I could think about is how thankful I am that I’m able to eat even if I’m underweight,

In the end, I chose not to see a nutritionist,

After all, it’s a phobia that makes it hard to gain weight.

Yes, I eat all my meals,

I found a way to eat the food,

I don’t skip meals,

Thus, I don’t need a nutritionist to talk about food,

A nutritionist won’t understand how much I had to overcome to finally be able to eat meals.

Still I love my body,

I eat healthy meals,

Who cares if other’s don’t approve of my body,

As stated, I’m just thankful that I’m able to eat my meals,

That’s why I’ll continue to be proud of my body.
