Cold Night (Poem)

The anxiety hit me on a cold night,

I left the indoors and stood outside,

The anxiety was blown away by the soft wind of the cold night,

I was shaking as I stood outside,

Yet I embraced the cold night.

The coldness I usually don’t like,

Yet this night I saw the good in the cold,

I saw something to like,

It was the anxiety that was blown away by the cold,

That’s what I like.

That’s why I say, “Thank you cold night,”

It was the night that changed my view,

It’s  a night that I call a truly beautiful and special night,

I also give thanks to the anxiety that led me to a different view,

So now I ask, “What else can I love about a cold night?”
